Some staff and listeners of Citi FM today [Monday] treated more than one hundred children in three orphanages across the country to fun and entertainment as part of activities to celebrate the Easter with them.
The team presented stationery, food items, toiletries and cash to the orphanages to help in the upkeep of the children.
The presentation is part of Citi FM’s annual corporate social responsibility program dubbed the Easter Orphan Project.
The beneficiaries are the Baptist School Complex (BASCO), an orphanage at Trotor, near Suhum in the Eastern Region, the Handivangelism Orphanage at Haatso in Accra, and Mama Laadi Orphanage at Bolgatanga in the Upper East Region.
The station has been embarking on this event annually for the past 13 years and its support have significantly helped to improve the lives of the children, some of whom are currently enrolled in tertiary institutions.
At BASCO, the station presented assorted items as well as GHC 30,000 cheque to the orphanage.
The station also handed Handivangelism Orphanage, a cheque for GHC 10,000. Mama Laadi Orphanage at Bolgatanga in the Upper East Region also received a sum of GHc10,000.
These donations were made possible through the generous contributions of staff and listeners of Citi FM/Citi TV.
