The National Teaching Council has set the Teacher Licensure Examinations for September 24, 2019, to September 26, 2019.
The NTC in a statement said All Prospective candidates who hold the Diploma in Basic Education (DBE), Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or a Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE), M.Ed and are desirous of seeking employment as teachers.
“Please note that newly-trained Diploma Teachers from the Colleges of Education who successfully completed in 2019 will take part in this examination in their respective colleges (including Holy Spirit – Ho, St. Ambrose – Dormaa Akwamu, Methodist-Oda, Limelighter-Bia, St. Vincent – Yendi, Al Farouk – Wenchi and McCoy – Nadowli Colleges of Education).”
The candidates are to apply on-line at www.exams.ntc.gov.gh and complete the application form for the licensure examination.
Candidates who completed in 2019 or before 2019 qualify to write the examination at a College of Education of their choice.
The September exam is open to persons hoping to resit.
“Candidates who wrote the Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination in 2018 and/or March 2019 but failed in one, two or three papers may register to re-sit the paper/papers in which they failed.”
Fresh candidates are required to pay GH? 220.00 to register for the examination.
Candidates who are re-sitting are to pay GH?100.00 for one (1) Re-sit paper and candidates who are re-sitting all two papers are to pay GH?200.00.
Candidates who are re-sitting all three papers are to pay GH? 220.00.
