Members of the pro-New Patriotic Party (NPP) group, ‘Fixing The Country Movement’, have accused the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) of orchestrating the recent fake kidnapping and pregnancy saga that unfolded in Takoradi.
Without any evidence, the group insists that the plot hatched by Josephine Panyin Mensah, who’s a member of the party, is a plot by the opposition party to cause public and political disaffection for the NPP.
The founder of the group, Ernest Owusu Bempah, who’s also the Head of Communication at Ghana Gas, while addressing the press on Sunday, September 26, 2021, made reference to the content of the NDC National Chairman’s alleged leaked audio ahead of the 2020 elections.
“The Fixing The Country Movement is not unaware of the political machinations of the NDC and how they are desperate to plunge this country into chaos. It is quite clear that this is the handiwork of those who are desperate for power and will do and employ any tactic fair or foul to achieve their selfish ambition. And this is their latest shenanigans has backfired. As a matter of fact, we have been told by former NDC Flagbearer aspirant, Stephen Atubiga that the lady at the centre of this fraudulent hoax is a member of the NDC.”
Owusu Bempah said, the content of the leaked audio and the recent happenings have a lot in common, and it will not be far-fetched to point accusing fingers at the NDC for the current turn of events.
“Indeed, a careful reading of the history would point to the establishment of certain incontrovertible facts that underscored the culpability of the Mahama-led NDC in this fake abduction/kidnapping story even before the conclusion of police investigations. It was meant to cause dissatisfaction for the ruling regime and to incriminate the government for electoral advantage”, he added.
