The Ghana Cocoa Board has announced the opening of the 2019 light crop cocoa season with purchases, beginning on Friday June 21, 2019.
A statement signed and copied to the Ghana News Agency by Dr Emmanuel A. Opoku, the Deputy Chief Executive of Cocoa Board said the producer price to be paid at all buying centres is GH¢228.00 per load of 30 kilograms for Grade I and II cocoa beans naked ex-scale or GH¢475.00 per bag of 64 kilograms gross.
It said a tonne of 16 bags is GH¢7,600.00.
