Ashgold beat Faisal

Obuasi, Oct 28, GNA – Ashgold maintained their fine home record by beating King Faisal 1-0 in their fifth-week fixture in the Glo Premier League duel at the Len Clay Stadium on Sunday.   After a scoreless first half, Ashgold opened the second session as the stronger of the two sides and pinned the visitors into their own area. The homers pressure paid off three minutes into the half when Faisal Ransford Kwakye handled the ball in the penalty box.   Kwakye’s attempt to clear a ball ended up in a handball  which referee Joseph Lamptey  awarded to Ashgold. Yakubu Mohammed stepped up to effect the kick which he did expertly to push the victors into the lead in what turned out to be the only goal of the game.   Faisal lifted their game in search of parity which never materialized.   GNA...
