He started as a Squadron Pilot with the Number two Squadron at the Air Force Station in Tamale in June 1978.

These include training in negotiation techniques at Kampon Cham, in Cambodia organised by the United Nations Transitional Authority in Cambodia (UNT AC) and training for military and civilian police trainers in peacekeeping and human rights in Italy (May-June 1996).

He said government lost 300 megawatts of power due to the break-up of the West Africa Gas Pipeline and has partially resolved the problem by reclaiming 80 megawatts of power.
