A statement signed by Justice Alex B. Poku-Achaempong, Judicial Secretary and copied to the Ghana News Agency on Monday said the decision was taken in response to the increasing calls from the public for the proceedings of the Court to be broadcast live in view of the historic importance of the case.

However, its introduction and implementation are to be driven by guidelines to avoid abuse.

Tarkwa, April 15, GNA - Five police officers and a military officer on trial at the Tarkwa circuit court for conspiracy and extorting have been granted GH¢5,000 bail each with two sureties to be justified.

Selected participants from Ghana, Uganda and Tanzania will be participating in the training which would BE supported by the Revenue Watch Institute, as part of the “Strengthening media oversight on the extractive sectors” project.

The course, which was supported by the University of Ghana, the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmadabad and the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore, would equip participants with start-up knowledge, business management principles, policy issues and sound environmental practices.
