Accra, May 1, GNA – Former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo said Ghana is no exception in the menance of illicit drugs bedevilling the West Africa Sub-Region.
It aimed at creating awareness among the youth, encourage and educate them on the pursuit of their talents and passion.
Available statistics from the Out-Patients Department (OPD) of the health facilities show that the cases dropped from a total of 29,829 in year 2011 to 26,290, last year, after the distribution.
The two-hour walk drew participation from the police, prisons, military, immigration and the Ghana National Fire Service.
In addition, the company screened children of the orphanage to check their health status as part of activities marking this year’s May Day celebration.
