Making the appeal through the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at Agona Swedru, Mr Obuei, regretted that the terms of officers from the ward to the national level had expired, and this could have negative impact on the performance of the party . According to Mr Obuei, the constitution of the NDC stipulates that every four years, the party must hold elections to elect new officers , and wondered why that has eluded the ruling party. The leading member said the election of the executives would help to restructure and re-brand the party to enhance effective democratic governance. He said majority of the members have expressed inhibition about the delay in the election of executives, and expressed the hope that the NEC would heed his humble advice to organize an early congress to elect new officers.GNA
