The vehicle was bought from his share of the National Health Insurance Fund and the medical supplies, with his own resources.
Handing these over at a ceremony in Kumasi, he said improving access to quality healthcare was one of his major priorities.
Mr. Amankwah said the ambulance without doubt would help the centres to promptly respond to emergencies.
It would also enable the centres to quickly transport patients on referral to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital and other facilities.
The MP called for proper maintenance of the ambulance, to keep it in good condition, in order to achieve the intended purpose.
Dr. Alberta Nyarko, the Metropolitan Director of Health Services, applauded him for his tremendous contribution to drive towards bringing quality health care to the people.
She said the ambulance and medical supplies would assist to save lives.
The MP also gave two motorbikes to the police to strengthen the crime fight in the area.
