Accra, April. 4, GNA – YOKS Rent-a-Car, a Car rental company, has expressed its appreciation to management of the West African Gas Pipeline Company (WAPCo) for supporting their business when they commenced their operations in Ghana.
With just a few years into its operations, YOKS won a contract to provide transport services to WAPCo at a time when they were still a budding business with inadequate staff and resources.
However, YOKS managed to effectively carry out the contract which involved Benin, Togo, Accra and Takoradi through the support of WAPCo.
Mr Seth Yeboah Ocran, the Chief Executive Officer of YOKS Investments Limited, said through their engagement, he learnt a lot which helped him to put his business in the right direction.
He said WAPCo’s insistence on professionalism, safety and security helped him to embrace excellence that the YOKS brand has become known with over the years.
“At the time in 2006, YOKS had about five cars, six workers and we were very small but WAPCo for one reason saw the vision through our proposal that we sent and gave us the opportunity and we learnt a lot from them,” he added.
He said safety issues, security, defensive driving and protocol driving were critical on the agenda of management of WAPCo.
As a gesture of its appreciation, the company presented a citation which read: ‘’On behalf of the Board, Management and entire staff of YOKS Investments Ltd, we wish to express our sincerest appreciation to you, our cherished customer for your continuous patronage of our services over the past years.”
It also said “we appreciate your business and are confident that our strong relationship with your organisation will remain mutually enjoyable and beneficial for our two companies and in the years ahead. We have enjoyed your valued cooperation which has helped in driving the business as well as inspired the culture of excellence.
“We shall continue to embark on various activities to ensure that you derive the best of services to create a memorable experience during any interaction with us. We look forward to many more years of mutually beneficial association and wish your company all the success that it deserves.’’
Management of WAPCo expressed their gratitude to YOKS for having recognised the business relationship and expressed the hope that it would continue to grow for the benefit of both companies.
Currently, with almost 100 cars and over 125 workers, YOKS Car Rentals has established itself as a car rental powerhouse with many awards to its credits, including the CIMG Car Rental of the Year for four consecutive times, and for three continuous years, won the Car Rental of the Year at the Ghana Tourism Awards.
