Dunkwa-On-Offin (C/R), May 5, GNA – A forty-three-year-old tutor of Dompoase SHS was on Wednesday confirmed the District Chief Executive for Upper Denkyira West District Assembly at Diaso.
All the 23 members, made up of 16 elected Assembly members and seven government appointees voted overwhelmingly for Mr. Daniel Appianim to confirm him as the DCE for the area.
Mr Appianim later thanked the President for nominating him and the Assembly members for the confidence reposed him and urged all, irrespective of their political affiliation to unite and contribute their quota for the development of the entire District.
The Deputy Central Regional Minister, Mr. Thomas Adjei Baffoe had earlier, pleaded with the Assembly members to give the President’s nominee the nod to help ensure total development for the area.
Mr. Gabriel Kwadwo Karikari polled 23 votes to win the slot for Presiding Member of the Assembly.
Samuel Nsowah Gyan MP for Upper Denkyira West Constituency and Traditional rulers from both Upper Denkyira East and West were present.
