Tamale, May 6, GNA – Seventy-five students, who have undergone a two-year training on Medical Laboratory Technology at the Tamale Campus of the Advance Global College, have graduated.
Dr Jacob Mahama, Northern Regional Director of the Ghana Health Service, whose speech was read on his behalf during the graduation in Tamale on Saturday, entreated the graduates to abide by the standards of the profession.
He said the work of laboratory technicians was important in health care delivery expressing the hope that the graduates would augment the work of those already practising for improved health care.
Alhaji Ahmed Zaruk Nuhu, Principal of Advance Global College, appealed to government to absorb the graduates into the health sector to help in providing quality health care for the people.
He said the Advance Global College was working to roll out additional programmes to train quality health professionals for service to the country.
