Accra, May 6, GNA - Accra Great Olympics worsened the plight of Kumasi Asante with a 2-0 win in the 14th week Ghana Premier League match played at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday.
A goal in each half ensured the "Wonder Boys" secured the three maximum points to boost their chances of survival in the league.
Paul Fiatsi opened the scores for Olympics in the 15th minute after the home team had dominated proceedings.
Kotoko came back strongly after the goal but unable to equalize, leaving Olympics to maintain a first half lead.
Coach Frimpong Manso sent in Obed Owusu and Ashietey Ollenu in the second half to strengthen the attack in search of the equalizer, but their presence was not enough to threaten the defence of Olympics.
Olympics managed to increase the tally in 73rd minute through Francis Atsu who capitalized on a defensive blunder on the part of Kotoko.
Kotoko later on scored when a shot deflected off the body of an Olympics defender but it was ruled offside by the referee.
