Asunafo South Assembly endorses President’s Nominee

Kukuom, (B/A), May 10, GNA - Assembly members at the Asunafo South District of the Brong-Ahafo Region, on Tuesday confirmed Mr Osei Bonsu, the President’s nominee as the District Chief Executive.

He had overwhelming votes of 100 per cent, in the election, which was conducted and supervised by the Electoral Commission at Kukuom in the Brong-Ahafo Region.

An Educationist and the former Asunafo South District Co-ordinator of the National Disaster Management Organisation, Mr Bonsu until his appointment was the New Patriotic Party Asunafo South Constituency Chairman.

Prior to voting, Mr Kwaku Asomah-Cheremeh, the Regional Minister admonished the assembly members to avoid partisanship and facilitate development.

Mr Bonsu thanked President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for his nomination and expressed appreciation to the assembly members for the confidence they had reposed in him.

He pledged his readiness to ensure equitable distribution of projects in the local communities, and asked the assembly members to co-operate with him.
