Amansie West endorses Asante’s nomination as DCE

Manso-Nkwanta (Ash), May 11, GNA – The Amansie West District Assembly has approved the nomination of Mr. William Bediako Asante as District Chief Executive (DCE).

This was at an emergency meeting it held at Manso-Nkwanta.

Sixty-three (63) members of the assembly voted yes for him, while 14 others dissented.

Present to observe how things went, were the Ashanti Regional Secretary of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Samuel Pyne, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Manso-Nkwanta, Mr. Joseph Albert Quarm, and the MP for Manso-Adubia, Mr. Yaw Frimpong Addo.  

Mr. Asante pledged that he would not betray the trust of the President and the assembly and was going to perform.

He mentioned education development and improvement of roads running across the area as some of his major priorities.

He appealed for strong support and cooperation of everybody to speed up the progress of the area.
