A total of 2,573 candidates made up of 1,359 males and 1,214 females are writing the examination in the area.
The District Chief Executive (DCE), Mr. Alex Frimpong, toured the centres to find for himself how things were going and to encourage the students to strictly observe the examination regulations.
He was accompanied by the District Education Director, Mr. Ignatius Ere-Der.
The DCE advised the candidates against doing anything that could lead to the cancellation of the results.
They should have self-confidence and to refuse to panic, he added.
