Abene (E/R), Aug 03, GNA – The Kwahu Traditional Council has organized a grand durbar at Abene to officially outdoor the newly installed Omanhene, Daasebre Akuamoah Agyapong II.
Known in private life as Eugene Asante Boadi, he is aged 34, and a Chartered Accountant by profession.
He succeeds the late Daasebre Akuamoah Boateng II, who died four years ago.
The Omanhene called for all to unite behind him to bring development to the traditional area.
They should overcome their differences and work together to make things better, he added.
Daasebre Agyapong used the occasion to ask people who fled the area in the heat of the confusion over the selection of the right candidate to occupy the stool, to return.
He indicated that peace had been restored and that there was no excuse for anybody to continue to live in places where they sought refuge.
Nana Asiedu Agyemang III, Abetifihene, who is the Adontehene of the Kwahu Traditional Area, rallied the chiefs and people to cooperate and give strong support to the Omanhene as he rolled out his development agenda for the area.
