Accra, Oct. 2, GNA - Multimedia Institute of Ghana, a professional training and educational institute at the weekend held its second graduation ceremony and awarded certificates to 127 students.
The 127 students received certificates in Advance Diploma, Graduate Diploma, Certificates and Post-graduate Diplomas. The Institute is affiliated to the Institute of Commercial Management (ICM-UK).
Mr Kafui Dey, a Broadcaster, speaking at the graduation ceremony said the graduation was just the beginning of a new chapter in their lives and urged them to aspire to future challenges.
He said with the education acquired by the students, they should be able to influence others around them positively but if they failed then, “it’s no education after all”.
He, therefore, called on the graduating students to endeavour to keep themselves relevant anywhere they found themselves, since the global was evolving.
“Education continues beyond the four corners of the classroom, hence continue to develop and enhance your capacity and abilities to address some of the problems in society,” he added.
Nana Kwaku Duah, the Director of MIG, called on the students to endeavour to always believe in themselves, “be bold and also believe in God almighty”.
He called on the students to be hard working, committed and dedicated to duty, anywhere they would find themselves in life.
He said being successful in life came with risk factors and urged the students not to be afraid to take risk.
The Director said the institute had constructed a hotel for the student, which would be opened in due course with one other to be constructed in Kumasi, where the institute had opened its second campus.
The Management of MIG used the opportunity to launch the ‘MIG Charity Foundation’ to support brilliant but needy students of the institute.
The Foundation, also seeks to collaborate with other partners to solicit for funds to support needy students.
It seeks to give full scholarship to about 2, 000 students by the year 2025.
