Accra, Oct 2, GNA - Head Coach of Medeama Sporting Club, Evans Adotey says he is not “disappointed” after 1-0 losing to Kumasi Asante Kotoko in the semi-final of the 2017 MTN FA Cup at Obuasi.
Medeama lost the game in extra time when Saddick Adams broke the deadlock after 103 minutes of a tough game to miss a chance of making it into the final for the third time in five years.
Trainer of the two time champions of the cup competition said his players were good throughout the game and were unlucky to have lost.
“I think we played very well. I am happy for the team even though we lost. Because I think the boys fought very hard and dominated Kotoko. We will try to put this defeat behind us and focus on our league matches,” Adotey said.
Medeama won the competition in 2013 and 2015 by beating Kotoko on all occassions.
