Kwahu- Aduamoa (E/R), April 11, GNA - Nana Afari Mintah, the Chief of Kwahu- Aduamoa community in Accra, Tema and its environs has called on the citizens of the community to visit home regularly to help develop the community.
He said it was time that more public functions were introduced to help motivate citizens of Aduamoa to visit home during the Easter festivities to contribute towards the development of the area.
Speaking in an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA), he promised to work with other leaders to ensure the revival of all regional branches of the Kwahu Aduamoa citizens union in the country to help bring unity and progress of Aduamoa.
Nana Mintah suggested some of the activities that could attract many citizens to visit home to include; annual trips to ‘Dadamu’, the ancestral home of the people of Aduamoa, organisation of quiz, Aduamoa Easter marathon race and others that could help exhibit the rich culture of the area and promote the socio- economic activities in the area.
In the short term, Nana Mintah hinted that, the Aduamoa citizens’ resident outside the area had planned to provide streetlights, potable water and toilet facilities for the community.
Nana Mintah said plans were far advanced to provide additional scholarships to those initiated by the Kwahu Traditional Leaders for students in the area to help promote quality education.
He therefore appealed to other Aduamoa citizens outside the area to join the union to effectively contribute to the progress of the community.
