Enchi (W/R), June 25, GNA - Two Executives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Party in Aowin lost their positions during last Saturday's Constituency election held at Enchi in the Western Region.
The incumbent Secretary, Mr Maxwel Kofi Oppong and Madam Mary Ennin, Women Organizer were the casualties.
Mr Oppong lost with 610 votes and his only competitor Mr Stephen Morcher polled 624 votes.
Madam Patricia Bridget Brew won overwhelmingly with 87 votes to beat Madam Mary Ennin who polled one vote.
The incumbent Chairman, Mr Mahama Sarni, obtained 661 votes to beat his main contender Mr Johnson Enu who had 573 votes.
Mr Cement Fosu Kwaw, incumbent Vice Chairman, maintained his position with 462 votes, while Philip Nana Koah and Mr Johnson Kofi Ackah lost with 422 and 336 votes respectively.
The Deputy Secretary position went to Mr Salifu Karim Ndego who won with 626 votes as against Mr Robert Kwaw Andoh who had 587 votes.
Madam Linda Asante Assemiah, Deputy Treasurer, Mr Felix Duncan Kwaw, Youth Organizer and Mr Prince Effue, Communications Officer were retained unopposed.
The Organizer position was won by Mr Benjamin Benson Duku with 753 votes and the incumbent, Mr Enock Adjei Boadi lost with 488 votes.
Mr Samuel Bigah was elected the Deputy Organizer with 656 votes as against 580 votes for Mr Emmanuel Boye.
Mr Bartholomew Kofie polled 58 votes for the Deputy Youth Organize position, while his two counterparts Mr William Kodwo Enooson and Mr Peter Ntaah Blackson had 49 and 29 votes each.
Mr Thomas Ayisi Kuma had 726 votes for the Treasurer position and Mr Abu Baker lost with 514 votes.
The Deputy Women Organizer went to Madam Helena Allubullu with 94 votes and her opponent Madam Faustina Adjei polled 39 votes.
Rufus Abdela Dadzie had 704 votes for the Deputy Communication Officer and Mr Issah Musah lost with 517 votes.
The Zongo Caucus Coordinator was won by Mr Nuhu Ibrahim with 680 votes to defeat Mr Ali Asumana who had 544 votes.
Eight other executive members were also elected.
They are; Mr Alfred Ngissah, Mr J.K Mushie, Mr Hamidu Yakubu, Mr Owusu Aduomi, Mr Stephen Effuen, Mr Yakubu Amoli, Mr Ramsey Anthony Dornyoh and Mr Samuel Johnson Amoah.
The Chairman elect, Mr Mahama Sarni, in a brief address congratulated the delegates for assisting in making the election peaceful.
He pledged to do his best to win more votes for the NDC Party in 2020 general elections.
Officers from the Aowin Electoral Commission led by Mr Stephen Aseidu, Municipal Electoral officer conducted the election.
