Accra, Jan 17, GNA - Lightweight boxers Sheriff "One Time" Quaye and Michael "One Bullet" Ansah, have agreed terms for a sensational rematch on March 8, at the Bukom Boxing Arena.
The boxers, signed off the agreement in a short ceremony in Accra on Thursday, January 17, to fight in the "Bukom Brawl" fight night.
The 12 round bout set to settle the scores between fans of both boxers, as to who is the best fighter, put together by Box Office Sports Promotions (BOS) and Multi choice Ghana.
The winner of the bout, would not only go away with the bragging rights, but would also take away the titles as the World Boxing Organization (WBO) Interim Africa and the National Lightweight.
Mr Alex Ntiamoah, Chief Executive Officer of BOS Office said, the fight has been on the card for way too long and it was time to grant the wish of both set of fans.
"In their last bout, fans from either camps were not happy with the draw decision. We are here to confirm that a rematch as both boxers sign in agreement to fight on March 8," he said.
Nii Amah Dagadu, Marketing Manager of Multichoice Ghana said their outfit, were happy to support the bout, adding that the bout would be beamed live on DSTV and Gotv, to viewers across the continent.
Both boxers promised fireworks on the night with Michael Ansah promising a third round knockout.
In a related development, former world champion Joshua Clottey would stage a comeback on the night in a 10 round undercard bout with Tanzania's Mfaume Ahmad Said.
