Tema, March 15, GNA - The docket on the case of the killing of Reverend Doctor David Nabegmado, Head Pastor, Central Assembly's of God Church, Tema Community Four, is to be forwarded to the Attorney General's Department for advice.
The Tema TDC Magistrate Court presided over by Mrs Akosua Anokyewaa Adjepong, on Thursday, ordered Inspector Beatrice Ayeh, prosecutor, to attach a copy of the results of detailed mental assessment conducted on Francis Nabegmado, prime suspect, and nephew of the deceased pastor.
The court had at previous sittings ordered for the mental assessment of the accused at the Pantang Psychiatric Hospital to ascertain his mental fitness to go through a murder trial.
The Magistrate gave the order for the duplicate docket to be sent to the Attorney General's Department after reading through the detailed medical report presented to the court in accordance to an order served on the medical officers who conducted the examination.
Nabegmado, who was on a provisional charge of murder, was arrested and arraigned after he alleged stormed the office of his paternal uncle on Sunday morning, December 30, 2018, where he slashed the pastor's hands, stabbed him in the right rib and slit his throat.
The slain pastor has since been buried while the accused was in prison custody on remand to reappear in court on March 28, 219.
