Adomi (E/R), March 20, GNA - Three people sustained injuries after a clash between the people of Akwamu Fie and Juapong over a parcel of land for the construction of the Tema to Mpakadan rail line at Adomi.
The three, who have been issued with police report to seek medical attention, are Nana Gyan Dapaa, Alex Akrofi and Kwesi Akrofi.
Sergeant Francis Gormado, the Deputy Eastern Regional Police Public Relations Officer (PRO), said when the police got to the scene, the Akwamu Fie people were not around but two vehicles belonging to the Akwamu’s, a pick-up and a salon car have been vandalized.
He said when the other faction from Juapong saw the police they then retreated into the bush.
Sergeant Gormado said the police commanders of Asuogyamn and Juapong advised the Chinese company which is undertaking the rail line construction to suspend operation till calm is restored.
