Accra, March 25, GNA - Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) has revealed the ranking for the Africa Cup of Nation (AFCON) 2019, fixed for its headquarters in Cairo, Egypt.
The 24 qualified teams are put into four pots by CAF and are calculated based on the team’s performance in the three most recent editions of the AFCON final tournament and the three most recent edition of the AFCON qualifying campaigns.
According to CAF, pot one, would include host nation Egypt, Ghana, Tunisia, Ivory Coast, Cameroon and Senegal, Whilst pot two includes, Morocco, Nigeria, RD. Congo, Algeria, Mali and Guinea.
Pot three, would consist of Uganda, South Africa, Guinea Bissau, Zimbabwe, Angola and Burundi and pot four includes, Mauritania, Namibia, Benin, Kenya, Madagascar and Tanzania.
The AFCON 2019 final group stages draw would be held on April 12, at Cairo in Egypt.
