Hweehwee (E/R), April 16, GNA - Ms Ivy Owusu, the Kwahu East Director of Education, has called on traditional authorities to ban school children from patronizing game centres.

The three-year project aimed at promoting transparency and accountability at the Municipal and District levels of the local governance system and was a way to deepen grass root participation in the execution of development projects.
In order to reduce the menace, Ms Owusu said, parents must provide their wards with their educational needs to enable them learn hard.
She assured to liaise with the district assembly to provide furniture to all public schools in the district to promote effective teaching and learning in the schools.
Mr Joseph Owusu, the Acting Director of the Kwahu East NCCE called on Assembly Members to meet regularly with their constituents, identify their immediate needs, for the Assemblies to capture them in their development plan based on priority.
He noted that the local people should monitor and supervise projects if the Assemblies engage them in the awarding of contracts at the initial stage.
