Speaking at a ceremony to present the gift, the donor who is a native of the town, said the gesture was borne out of her passion to help the needy in society and called on the sons and daughters of the town in the diaspora, to be kind enough to assist in efforts to bring development to the town.
Mr Bismark Okrah, a businessman and a native, who chaired the function commended Nana Amonu for demonstrating such love and compassion for the needy town folks.
He used the occasion to call on Otumfuo Osei Tutu ll, the Asantehene, to help install a substantive chief in the town, which had been without an overlord the past 33 years – a situation which had stalled development.
