Anoff (E/R), June 12, GNA - The chiefs and people of Anoff, a community near Nsawam in the Eastern Region has launched a three-year development plan to uplift the image of the town.
Launching the plan, which is expected to cost GH¢ 2 million, Nana Ebo Otabel, the newly enstooled Nkosuohene “developmental” chief of the town said, the plan included; the construction of a library complex block, Information Communication Technology(ICT)centre and a community centre.
He said the plan also included; the rehabilitation of all roads in the community and the provision of street lights to keep the community bright at night.
Speaking to the Ghana News Agency in an interview, Nana Otabel, an Electrical Engineer who works in the United States of America pledged to bear the cost of all the projects and called on the people to assist through communal labour.
Swearing an oath of allegiance to Nana Kwame Anomah, Omankrado of Anoff and the entire people of Anoff and Anhuntem Darmang,Nana Otabel appealed to the people to enroll their children in schools especially secondary technical and vocational institutions to enable the children to acquire employable skills.
Nana Kwame Anomah, Omankrado of Anoff, Nana Akyem Amponsah, Omankrado of Darmang Ahuntem and Nana Obeng Ntow,Osafohene of Darmang Ahuntem who presided over the function commended the new Nkosuohene and called on other chiefs to emulate his example.
