Densuano (E/R), June 17, GNA - The Chief Operations Officer of Grace Homeopathic Clinic based in Koforidua, Mr Kennedy Aborah, has advised Ghanaians to do regular health check-up at least twice a year to be able to detect early any emerging health threat for early treatment .
He was speaking with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at a free medical screening exercise organized for over 500 residents of Densuano, a suburb of Koforidua in the Eastern Region.
The screening was organized as part of activities to mark the Youth Day Celebration of Glory Temple of Assemblies of God Church at Densuano.
The people were screened for HIV, hepatitis B, blood pressure, test for blood group and breasts screening.
Mr Aborah said many Ghanaians lacked the courage to periodically walk into a health facility to check their health conditions until they become seriously ill, which he said was not the best.
He said to the clinic, the exercise was a way by which it gave back to the society as its social responsibility.
According to him, about 12 per cent of the 500 people screened tested positive for hepatitis B.
He announced that, his outfit was open to all individuals, churches and organizations, which need their services.
Mr Jude Gameti, the Youth President of Glory Temple AG, commended Grace Homeopathic Clinic for free screening and urged the clinic to come back some other time.
