Owusu who hails from the Ashanti Region and stays in Bolgatanga in the Upper East Region was arrested by the Police in Bawku based on a tip off from an alleged victim who is a Community Police Assistant and a resident in Bawku.
Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Yao Tettegah who confirmed the incident in an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA), said the Police Assistant told the Police that the suspect came to her house wearing a Lacoste with police inscriptions on it and introduced himself as a police recruit at the Kpwalugu Police Training School.
