Accra, July 12, GNA - Mr. Solomon Ofosu Ware known in the football fraternity as “Chairman Solo”, an aspirant for Kumasi Asante Kotoko National Circle Supporters Chairmanship has said, he has the experience to strengthen and modernized the club supporters base when given the mandate.
He said, he had served as a regional organizer and many other regional and national capacities for the past nineteen years and he thinks this year was the right time to contest for the national chairmanship position.
Mr Ofosu Ware served as porter for Circle 49, Public Relations Officer for Circle 127, all in Kumasi and was appointed as a management member of the Mr Opoku Nti led administration in 2015.
Speaking in an interview with GNA Sports, Chairman Solo said, “I think that I have a good vision and plans to modernize the supporters in the team and that is the reason why I want to contest for national chairmanship position to become the leader of the supporters so that I can implement those plans.
“I spent three and half years at the management level and when it comes to the circles, I have enough experience to do the work more than my competitors.
“My conviction to contest for the chairmanship position was further deepened after consultation with opinion leaders of our society, chiefs, past chief executive officers, past circle chairmen and the rank and file of our supporters”, he added.
He said, he would roll his plans, programs and the vision for the national circles council after submitting his forms.
