Accra, Nov. 6, GNA — The Christ Family Congregation of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana at Asylum Down is putting up a new building at the cost of GH¢20.4 million to enhance effective propagation of the gospel.
The project, expected to be completed in two years, is being financed through voluntary contributions and fundraising activities.
The Reverend Ofosu Gyeabour Adarkwaa, the Minister-In-Charge, disclosed this at the sod-cutting ceremony, homecoming and launch of the 30th Anniversary celebration of the Church at Asylum Down in Accra.
He said the project would have a 1000-capacity auditorium, offices, gallery and a conference hall.
The Church, established in 1989, had supported the Asylum Down Community in so many ways and impacted many lives.
Rev. Adarkwa urged Ghanaians to open a new chapter by refraining from acts that hindered national development and shun the rush for monetary gains and seek their spiritual growth.
He said the public must be responsible towards the cleanliness of the environment and desist from littering to avoid flooding.
