Accra, Nov. 17, GNA - President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo Sunday left Ghana for an eight-day trip that will take him to the United Arab Emirates, Germany and the United Kingdom.
The President will first be in Abu Dhabi for an official visit at the invitation of Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
He will on Monday, November 18, 2019, hold bilateral talks with the Crown Prince, with the aim of renewing and deepening the ties of co-operation and friendship between the two countries.
President Akufo-Addo would thence move to Germany, where, at the invitation of the German leader, Chancellor Angela Merkel, participate in the summit of the G20 Compact with African countries, of which Ghana is a member.
The meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 19, 2019, after which he will then travel to the United Kingdom for a private visit.
The President was accompanied by the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey, and officials of the Presidency and the Foreign Ministry.
He will return to Ghana on Tuesday, November 26, 2019.
Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia will act while he is away.
