Ho, Dec. 17, GNA - Voting started promptly at three polling stations with all logistics available to voters at the Wusu-Dome Electoral Area in Ho, to elect District and Unit Committee members.
Queues of less than ten people were seen waiting for their turn to exercise their franchise when the Ghana News Agency visited the stations at the Ho Leprosarium L.A. Primary School A and B.
Mrs Elizabeth Bosu and Mrs Brigitte Frimpong, Presiding Officers of the A and B polling stations told the GNA that a total of 1,495 voters are expected to cast their ballots for the two stations.
GNA was told 12 and six people cast their ballots at the two stations at 0730 and 0735 hours respectively.
Seven contestants are vying for the District Assembly seats and six for the Unit Committee positions.
At the Pentecost Church, Godokpoe, Wusu-Dome Electoral Area, Mr Seth Kwame, the Presiding Officer said 18 people went through the exercise successfully at 0750 hours and was expecting some 633 to cast their ballots before the end of polls.
Similar exercises are going on across 188 polling stations in the Ho Municipality.
