Tema, Dec. 17, GNA - Voting in two polling stations in the Kpone Katamanso Constituency has delayed due to the unavailability of thumbprint ink.
Madam Comfort Mpuan, Presiding Officer, Laaloi Electoral Area, said there was no thumbprint ink hence voters would not be able to mark their choice on the ballot paper.
Mr. Selorm Addo, Presiding Officer, Afieye Elector Area, said the chairs, tables and canopies did not arrive early hence the delay of the exercise.
Some voting materials arrived at 07:13 hours at Laaloi Electoral Area and as at 07: 19hours, the Electoral Commission (EC) officials were still setting up and cross checking the electoral materials with party agents.
Meanwhile, there were queues at the centres visited by GNA as voters waited for the exercise to begin.
In Afieye Electoral area, voting was going on while canopies were being mounted as at 07:40 hours.
The Ghana News Agency observed that, some electorates did not have fair knowledge about the exercise as some were heading home right after checking their Identification cards thinking they were done with voting.
Some of the electorates did not know they had to put the ballot paper in the ballot box after thump printing.
