Sefwi-Asawinso (W/N), Dec. 17, GNA - Voting in the District Level Elections kick started smoothly in all the polling stations in the Western North Region.
The polling stations the Ghana News Agency visited started the process at exactly 0700 hours.
The elections were being held in a serene atmosphere with security personnel and candidates’ representatives present.
At the PBC Station A at Sefwi Asawinso, a total of 642 people are expected to vote but only 65 had cast their ballot whiles 54 out 566 have voted at the Community Centre A.
At the Information Centre Polling Station in Sefwi-Waiwso, 70 out of 561 had voted while 115 out of 843 had voted at ICTSS polling station.
At Anglican primary B 78 out of 760 had cast their ballots, while the Sefwi-Asafo PBC "B" had 28 out of a registered population of 491 casting their votes.
At Bonzian Anglican A and B polling stations in the Juabeso District, 80 out of 479 and 59 out of 433 respectively had cast their ballots.
At new Yaakeise in the Aowin District, 37 out of 743 registered voters had cast their ballot while 37 out of 605 had voted at the Methodist School.
Turn out is generally low as there were no queues and voting was orderly.
