Saforo (U/E), Dec. 23, GNA - The TITANS Ghana, Team in Trust and Spirit, a Cooperative body, has donated 72 dual desks worth GH?20,000 to the Saforo primary School in the Kasena-Nankana Municipal, Upper East Region.
Ms Margeret Tuuli, the leader of Titans Ghana who presented the furniture to the school authority and some members of the PTA at Saforo, said the choice of the school by Titans Ghana was based on the principle of the team, “Giving back to the society is part of growth, if you grow and you do not give back to society but focus on yourself, your growth becomes limited”, she said.
Ms Tuuli who gave a brief background of Titans Ghana, said it started in 2008 when their Indian mentors trained the members on how to support other people in need and helped them in self-improvement.
“Therefore Titans Ghana’s role is to teach, mentor and guide people to build their own businesses and when they reach some level of success, give back to society,” she said.
She said the team was helping individual people in small ways to improve their lives through feeding, education, health, clothing and setting up small businesses.
She thanked God for supporting the Team and said giving to the children who were the future of the country, would benefit all in the long run.
Mr Maxwell Adana, the Headmaster of Saforo Primary School, thanked the Titans and said it had put smiles on the faces of the pupils and will go a long way to improve academic work in the school.
He pledged that the furniture will be put to good use and maintained regularly.
