Ho, Dec. 24, GNA - Rt. Rev. Dr. Seth Senyo Agidi, Moderator of the General Assembly of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Ghana has called on Christians to remain firm to their calling in the "midst of the myriad of challenges facing the country."
"In the midst of challenges of our time such as joblessness, high cost of living, reported cases of kidnapping of innocent children, social media scam and sickness among others, let our faith move us to sing glory to God", he said.
This was contained in his Christmas message for the festive season.
Rt. Rev. Dr. Agidi said despite media advertisements and commercials of worldly satisfaction and miracles, Christians must remain firm, saying, "let us stop and reflect solemnly on our personal and collective faith journey and relationship with Christ."
He reminded Christians of their calling and urged them to put aside past differences and old regrettable habits and forgive and welcome all.
The Moderator said the Christmas season should be used in bringing neighbours, friends, separated couples and even sworn enemies together and Christmas was about sharing including; their faith and love to the underprivileged in society.
Rt. Rev. Dr. Senyo Agidi urged all to focus on Christ and his message of peace, reconciliation and redemption for all not only in the Christmas season, but also throughout the year 2020 and beyond.
He entreated all to pray for a peaceful presidential and parliamentary elections next year.
