Accra, Dec. 24, GNA - The Right Reverend Dr Seth S. Agidi, the Moderator of the General Assembly of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Ghana, has urged Ghanaians to make a sober reflection of personal and collective faith journey.
He expressed the hope that Christians would take some time off to reflect amidst the myriads of noise, commercial, media advertisement, the search for worldly satisfaction and miracles, to search for miracle of Jesus Christ.
A statement from the Church and copied to the Ghana News Agency quoted Isaiah 9:6 saying: “For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given and the government will be upon his shoulder and His name will be called Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace…”
It said Christmas was the season for celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ, a moment for the gathering of families and a time where Christians gather to worship.
The statement said: “May each of us be blessed during this joyous time of the year, and may we acknowledge with gratitude our heavenly Father’s incomparable gift to us – His son, the Lord Jesus Christ.”
The Moderator said: “With deep joy and gratitude, I extend to you my prayerful best wishes for a holy and blessed season of Advent, Christmas and New Year.”
