Hohoe (V/R), Dec. 25, GNA - Christians have been urged to celebrate this year's Christmas as peace and love ambassadors in their various communities.
Reverend Samuel Dzandzo, the Chaplain of Amedzofe College of Education (AMECO) in a sermon on the topic; "Shalom" at the Hohoe Adabraka Evangelical Presbyterian Church on Christmas Day said Christians needed to make sure peace prevailed wherever they found themselves.
"As Christians, we should make sure that peace prevails at every department of our lives, workplaces, homes and not only in the Church," he said.
Rev. Dzandzo said it was important for Christians to exhibit peaceful lifestyles that would be emulated by other members of society including" non-believers".
He asked them to make living in peace and love a lifestyle as the country prepared for general elections next year.
Reverend Father Isaac Benuyenah, Parish Priest of Hohoe St. Augustine Roman Catholic Church also in a homily themed; "You are an heir with Jesus Christ", called on Christians to realise that they belonged to Jesus Christ and should take dominion of God's Kingdom.
In an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) he said the celebration of Christmas should be accompanied with acts of peace, love and sacrifice.
Rev. Fr. Benuyenah said for God to gift humanity with the birth of Jesus Christ to atone for the sins of man, meant that Christians should love and sacrifice for one another, adding that Christians must also show love by extending help to their neighbours and the less-privileged.
He called for moderate celebration during the season and asked motorists to observe all road signs and regulations to ensure an accident free yuletide.
