Nyamekrom (E/R), Dec. 30, GNA - The members of the Yahwen Temple of the Eastgate for all Nations Church International (ENCI) at Nyamekrom in the New Juaben South Municipality have donated some items and an amount of GH¢200.00 to the Nyamekrom Community Health Planning Services (CHPS).
The items include ten packs of bottled mineral water, five cartons of soft drinks and detergents amongst others.
The items were presented to the CHPS Centre by Mr Silas Asante, the Founder and the General Overseer of ENCI.
He said giving alms is part of the mandate of Christianity and urged the church to give back to the community rather than always taking from them.
Mr Asante urged all Christians to unite as they celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.
Receiving the items on behalf of the management of the health centre, a Senior Midwife of the Centre, Ms Adeline Agyarko, the Densuano Sub Municipal Head of the Ghana Health Service, thanked the church for the gesture.
She also appealed to donor agencies and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO) to assist the health centre with hospital beds, pipe-borne water and a generator.
