Takoradi, Dec. 31, GNA - Pastor Samuel Kissi Agyekum of the Church of Pentecost has entreated local contractors to execute projects with quality in mind to avoid duplication and financial losses to their sponsors.
He said many jobs were shoddily done and could not stand the test of time thereby collapsing on children and adults or even costing millions in repairs after actual work done.
Pastor Agyekum, also the area head of Achimota Branch of the Church of Pentecost said this during the Thanksgiving service of Memphis Metropolitan construction limited on the theme:"the faithfulness of God."
Memphis Construction, has been in the industry for over two decades and half with superb job functions and satisfaction to clients.
Pastor Agyekum said, faithfulness was the key to success and upliftment in servanthood.
He said, it was disheartening that newly constructed buildings, roads and other such infrastructure were washed away by rains just within a short period unlike buildings in the colonial or Nkrumah era, where standards and specifications were strictly adhered to.
The CEO of Memphis Metropolitan Construction limited, Mr. Patrick Kwame Danso noted the need to celebrate God for His Faithfulness over the period.
He said trusting God was Paramount in all endeavours rather than cutting corners in the execution of contracts, which did not really help.
Mr. Danso encouraged his fellow Contractors to be sincere with suppliers and particularly sponsors who ensured that they had work to do.
He said the local industry was to build with all diligence, trust and dedication to duty to ward foreigners off their jobs.
