Atuahenekrom Dec 31, GNA - Nana Professor Kwaku Atuahene-Gima, chief of Atuahenekrom in the Sunyani Municipality, has set up an Education Fund to assist brilliant, but needy school children in the area to attain greater heights in education.
Nana Atuahene-Gima disclosed this when he addressed the chiefs and people to round off activities marking the maiden celebration of their Nteteasu Festival.
The chief who made a personal contribution of GH¢100,000 as seed money for the fund, recounted that having gone through elementary school education with lots of sacrifices, hard work and determination, he was inspired and was therefore prepared to assist the school children to come out with flying colours.
Nana Atuahene-Gima, Founder and President of Nobel International Business School at South Legon, who succeeded his father, Nana Kwadwo Atuahene of blessed memory, appealed to residents of the town, to put their shoulders to the wheel to help develop the area.
Nana Serwaa Ampaafo Brakatu, queenmother of the town, praised the chief for his exemplary and visionary leadership, by presenting him with a citation.
An appeal for funds in aid of the Education Fund yielded about GH¢8,000.
