Croatian Zdravko Logarusic’s job as Head Coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko is safe for now, according to the Public Relations Officer of the club Obed Acheampong.
Logarusic has been under mounting pressure from the fans in recent weeks as Kotoko has gone two games without defeat, including a frustrating home draw at the weekend against Inter Allies.
However Obed Acheampong says the club’s board is happy with the Croat’s performance so far and has called for patience from the fans.
“Kotoko is a club where our fans are used to victory, and anytime the results go contrary to that they express their grievances.
So I'm not surprised with about the complaints. But we are pleased with his [Logarusic] job. The coach is on top of the league and if he goes like this we win the league.
We don’t want to compare ourselves with past season, but clearly there’s an improvement with the Kotoko side, and there’s that promise that when they finally settle we are going to see more from them,” he said.
Despite sitting on top of the pile, Kotoko has struggled for goals this season, managing just 7 all season.
