Ghana striker Kwesi Appiah is happy to return to have returned to active football on Monday night for his on-loan club Viking in the Norwegian top-flight.
But he was saddened his side lost 1-0 at Valerenga in their season opener.
He was handed a starting role and lasted 67 minutes before being replaced by Patrick Pedersen.
He Tweeted after the match: ''Unlucky not to take something from the game! We have to move on now to the next one on Thursday! Nice to be back on the field 😁💪🏽 #Vikings.''
Appiah was playing his first competitive match since May 2015 when he was scored for Reading in their 3-0 win over Derby County.
He is on loan from English Premier League side Crystal Palace.
