Asante Kotoko attacking midfielder Baba Mahama is itching to return to his best after his poor start to the Ghana Premier League.
The 20-year-old joined the Porcupine Warriors in the off season following a stellar premier league debut season with Techiman City FC.
After nine games in the campaign, the light-footed attacker is yet to hit his stride in the club’s colours.
However, Mahama is eager to recapture his former playing standard in their subsequent matches.
"I'm very disappointed with my performance so far but I will bounce back very soon" Baba told Kumasi based Kessben FM
"And I know my late capture to Kotoko has also affected me but I promise to excel in the upcoming games.''
"I joined the club [Kotoko] very late and had a short preseason with them but I still coping with the new system adopted by the coach."
Asante Kotoko are top of the premier league standings with 18 points from 9 matches, and will travel to the T&A Park to play Medeama SC in week 10.
