Maxwell Konadu won't be handed the Black Stars No.2 job following the re-appointment of Kwesi Appiah, GHANAsoccernet.com sleuth hounding reveals.
It appears the romance of the ex-Kotoko trainer with the Black Stars has come down crushing.
Appiah has decided against working with his former No.2 man and will scout the pool to select from other sources, insiders have GHANAsoccernet.com.
Ex-Ghana international Ibrahim Tanko is the front-runner to deputize for the 57-year-old with former captain CK Akunnor the remote candidate to assist.
Ghana FA technical chief Francis Oti Akenteng has confirmed the future of Konadu remains unknown.
“If a coach is appointed and he is coming with his backroom staff then Maxwell’s fate will surely not be known as an assistant coach again “, he told Starr Sports.
Konadu has been an assistant since 2012 where he worked under under Kwesi Appiah and Avram Grant.
But Konadu won't work as a member of Kwesi Appiah's backroom staff on his return to the team.
