Columbus Crew duo Jonathan Mensah and Harrison Afful must pass late fitness tests ahead of Ghana's penultimate 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Uganda on Saturday.
The two players suffered injuries during last Saturday's 2-0 win over DC United in the MLS.
If the they are ruled out, it will be a big blow to Ghana's quest for continuing their winning form after the 5-1 win at Brazzaville against Congo last month.
Ghana has already lost captain Asamoah Gyan, who was not released by his club side Kayserispor due to his physical frailties.
Head coach Kwesi Appiah is yet to receive news on the availability of the US-based duo.
