Ashanti Gold SC forward Hans Kwofie has dedicated his four goals against Aduana Stars on Sunday to his late father.
The 28 year old, for the second this season netted four goals in one match to end the season as the top scorer of the Ghana Premier League.
He scored all the goals when Ashanti Gold SC beat league champions Aduana Stars 4-2 on the last day to survive relegation.
Former Medeama SC and Bechem United attacker took his goals tally to 17 in the season, surpassing Stephen Sarfo to be the top scorer in the end.
On Saturday morning, the striker was informed of the demise of his father but decided to feature for the Miners on Sunday after realizing he could end the season as the top scorer.
"I knew I was going to score going into the game but not four goals," Kwofie said.
"A sad thing happened to me on Saturday morning. I lost my daddy so I nearly opted out of the game but my coaches prompted me to be focus because I can end the season as the top scorer."
"Words from the coaches gave me a realization. I decided to reorganize myself to go in and play.
"I dedicate these goals to my late father. I will make him proud."
Kwofie scored four goals against Berekum Chelsea, four goals against Aduana Stars and three goals against Great Olympics to be top scorer of the premiership this campaign.
